High in the San Bernardino Mountains of Southern California at an elevation of about 6000 ft., this little water company has provided water to its community since 1932. SLMWC is a Mutual because it is owned and operated by the property owners of Strawberry Lodge. High in the San Bernardino Mountains of Southern California at an elevation of about 6000 ft., this little water company has provided water to its community since 1932. Our board members are volunteers. The community served is comprised of 191 unique property owners; owning 138 developed lots and 258 unimproved lots (some of the unimproved lots are owned by San Bernardino County).

SLMWC is guided by voted upon rules called BYLAWS in accordance with laws under the California Corporations Code. The BYLAWS were first written in 1933 when SLMWC was founded. Naturally, the BYLAWS need updating from time to time. However, in order to update the BYLAWS, it takes 51% of property owners to agree on the changes.

This website will provide you with a side-by-side comparison of the sections in need of an update. You will find them in the DOWNLOADS section below the Announcements on this page or you can request it be sent to you. The wellbeing of our community depends on all of us working together. We need just 97 owners to make this work.
