SLMWC is a Mutual because it is owned and operated by property owners in Strawberry Lodge, a subdivision of San Bernardino County, California. High in the mountains of Southern California at an elevation of about 6000 ft., this little water company has provided fresh well water to the local community since 1932. 

Our board members are elected volunteers. They are elected at the Annual Shareholders Meeting every year on the first Saturday afternoon in July.

The community is comprised of 138 active water service owners. There is a total of 273 water shares issued among those property owners making them shareholders.

Each lot is entitled to one share, and each share counts as one vote on policy decisions. All lots in Strawberry Lodge can get a water share and a water service line if they want it. Property owners are encouraged to contact the office for details.
